WELCOME TO CROSSWIM!
Crosswim is a high-intensity, hybrid workout program that combines short bursts of running and swimming with bodyweight exercises. It’s fast, it’s furious, it’s fun, and it’ll kick your butt into shape on the double!
Our program is based on the high-intensity interval training (HIIT) philosophy. Research has shown that HIIT is one of the best ways to burn fat, and our equipment-free approach means this workout won’t put excess stress on your joints.
Crosswim was created to revolutionize the way people work out in the water. Our goal is to make swimming a more effective, more fun workout that's accessible to everyone.
What to Bring:
-
A bathing suit – speedos, board shorts, workout bikinis, one-pieces, sports bras – if you can swim in it, you’re good!
-
Running clothes – shorts & shirt/tank top
-
Running shoes
-
Vibram Five Fingers – these aren’t required, but pool decks can be slippy and rough, which can irritate some people’s feet during our pool workouts.
-
A cap and goggles (if you roll that way)
-
Water and a towel
-
Sunscreen/hat
What to Expect:
Crosswim workouts are an hour long, and generally begin with a 30-minute land workout followed by a 30-minute pool workout. We’ll run stairs, sprint up ramps in parking garages, or snake bleachers--we keep it interesting.
After our run we’ll hit the pool. Not a stellar swimmer? No problem! You’ll be in and out of the water during our short, interval-based workout. The typical Crosswim workout usually doesn’t exceed 600 yards of swimming.
